Moving planner for licensed workers

See how the state you are moving to treats a license from the state you are leaving.

Moving planner

How to read the result

The planner shows the routes the board in the state you are moving to publishes for the main license of your occupation, with its conditions and fees. Where that board publishes a list of states it accepts, the planner tells you whether your state is on it. The list works in one direction only: it says whom the new state accepts, not whether your old state would accept a license from the new one.

If the new state has no route for your license, you apply as a new applicant there; the state page lists the requirements. Always confirm with the board before you move.

Where boards publish a list of accepted states

These occupations have at least one state whose board names the states it accepts for the main license. For the others, boards use endorsement or case-by-case review instead of a list. A list of the states whose residents may apply as nonresidents (Nevada notary public and New Hampshire notary public) is not a list of accepted licenses and is not counted here.
