License requirements checker
Choose an occupation and a state to see what the license takes.
Requirements checker
How the checker works
The checker shows every credential the state issues for the occupation, starting with the one most people apply for, and for each: the training or experience required, the exam, the fees the board lists (one by one, with who you pay), the renewal cycle and the routes for transferring a license from another state. It uses the same verified records as the state pages, and each result links to the page where every value is footnoted to the board's own words.
If an occupation is not offered for a state, we have not yet verified that state's rules; the state's licensing board is the place to ask.
