How to get a Producer license in Nevada
Nevada licenses insurance agents statewide through the Nevada Division of Insurance (DOI).1 For the Producer (resident producer of insurance) license you need a passing score on the Nevada producer licensing examination for each line of authority applied for1 and a criminal background check1. The board lists $125 for the initial license (Producer license)2 and $60 for the initial license (Producer license, at initial application)3, each a separate charge. You renew every 3 years1 and complete 30 hours of continuing education4.
