How to get a Resident insurance producer license in Wyoming
Wyoming licenses insurance agents statewide through the Wyoming Department of Insurance (DOI).1 For the Resident insurance producer license you need a passing score on the Wyoming insurance producer licensing exam for each line of authority applied for (Pearson VUE)2 and a criminal background check1. The board lists $100 for the initial license (Property, casualty and/or personal lines)1 and $100 for the initial license (Life, accident and health or sickness, variable life & variable annuities)1, each a separate charge. You renew every 2 years2 and complete at least 24 hours of continuing education2.
